Strategic Planning is an expanded version of the successful "Political Strategies" seminar series of the Academy. It launches an online preparation phase that will provide a general introduction into planning processes and techniques for participants from politics, NGOs, business, teaching institutions and others.

Liberalism Today: Freedom First 2008

How far does freedom of opinion extend for Liberals? Is it permissible to speak about other religions “without respect“, and what about “blasphemy”? If in conflict about an objective, how will Liberals balance tolerance, freedom of religion and freedom of opinion? These and other subjects formed the subject of a seminar under the heading “Liberalism Today: Freedom First“ of the International Academy for Leadership (IAF).

e-Learning Award granted to the International e-Academy

The concept launched by the International e-Academy for Leadership was recognized at the Hannover CeBIT Information Technology Trade Show with the European award for e-Learning "eureleA 2008".

For several years already the IAF seminar on NPM proves to be of high interest. Politicians, journalists and think tankers, related to the international activities of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation all over the world, come to Gummersbach to discuss the topic.

For several years already the IAF seminar on New Public Management (NPM) proves to be of high international interest. Politicians, journalists and think tankers come to Gummersbach to discuss the topic.
 

Education for Profit?

The international seminar on education reform is one of IAF events with a preparatory online phase. Approximately 60 participants were registered for the internet course. After completion of the course, 25 participants - those who were most successful - were invited to attend the seminar itself.

New IAF Management

After a very successful period of more than 12 years as Head of the International Academy for Leadership (IAF), Jörg Dehnert has handed over to Birgit Lamm the management of the IAF. She has been in charge of the IAF since 1 October 2006.

International e-Academy

Some international seminars now include online components organised by the International e-Academy – which is part of the IAF. In these cases an invitation to participate in the seminar itself depends on the quality of performance in an online preparatory event.
